Originally a 1971 Falcon 500, equipped with a 302-cid V8 and four-speed manual, this nicely executed GT-HO Phase III replica has been upgraded with a 351-cid Cleveland V8 and a four-speed Top Loader transmission.

 

Purchased some twelve years ago by the last owner, the XY was stripped to the bare metal soon after purchase and the body repainted in that very 1970's Vermillion Fire Orange. 

 

New door rubbers and seals fitted, the front and rear seats were re-trimmed in period correct basket-weave, new carpets were fitted and a modern digital version of the SuperFringe radio was installed

 

The XY has also had the springs reset and air shocks fitted to lower the ride height.

 

Other features include Superlite Race Alloys, front air dam, shaker and rear spoiler, along with electronic ignition. 

 

Since the rebuild, the car has travelled under 5000 kms since the rebuild.
